Sri Lanka Telecom Entrance Control Project

Sri Lanka Telecom Head Office recently introduced an entrance control system with Flap barriers  operating with the existing employee ID card , which is a 1K smart card. This facilitates monitoring of all in and out data of employees and also the visitors. This has been a successful project implemented by ABSL, giving valuable management information.

ABSL has been the supplier of Time and Attendance solution , in multiple locations across the Island connected to a one centralized database. ABSL implemented the first phase of the project in 2005 and since then more than 750 finger scanners have been installed and currently SLT has nearly 500 Finger scanners and Smart Card readers installed for both time and Attendance and Access Control requirement. Employees use a 1K smart card with personal data stored for attendance and access control along with the bio-metric verification , allowing two factor authentication.

Solution
